My Brightest Diamond "Hi, Remember Me?"

My Brightest Diamond
Hi, Remember Me?
I have loved My Brightest Diamond ever since I saw them (her) open up for Sufjan Stevens last fall. Their debut is one of those albums that you have to be in the mood for simply because of the heavy atmosphere it brings along with it. I think this song is what Tori Amos would sound like (bless her heart) if she were still relevant. It is creepy, gothic, and full of fantatic sounds. Her voice is one of my favorites. It is at the same time, haunting and familiar. When she says, "I hit the wall so hard, I had to talk to Jesus" you seem to believe her. Her voice sounds like she has been there and done that. So full of sadness and angelic beauty. I hope they all sing like her when I get there. Enjoy and have a happy Friday.
